Mom's 50th Birthday Bash!
So I know that Brad's Mom will kill me to broadcast that she just turned 50, but...luckily I am family and that might make me exempt from true torture! On December 12, we enjoyed presents, cake, and so many candles that the fire department came to over see things! No...the house did not catch on fire. They were riding around the neighborhood as Santa and his Elves and Becky got to seat on his lap, and got them to sing to her "Happy Birthday" like Alvin and the Chipmunks! Here are some photos from Santa and the birthday bash!!! Happy Birthday Mom! We love you!

Gobble, gobble...black friday, with a Volleyball Twist!
So....Thanksgiving was a success! We got a taste of the Demars family and Brad's family. It was full of lots of food, great naps, and unfortunately work for Sharee. She said that work was great, she ate more food, and fortunately not too many sick kids to see.
While Sharee was at work...Brad, Tammy, and Kyle were collaborating together in the "war room" to check out all the Black Friday deals, steals, and bargains. After developing the ultimate game plan, Brad went to go pick up Sharee. We didn't bother going to bed and hit the stores at 3AM! Our goal for this Black Friday was to get the best deals for the cabin-remodel so...We started out with sheets, towels, and extras at Wal-mart. Then moved on to get several down comforters at Sears. We were all finished up by 6 AM with a yummy breakfast to boot! It must have been a Black Friday record!
After our naps we got all fired up for the 2nd annual Black Volley Tournament! It is where all the families get together for pizza, drinks, and of course bump, set, and killer spikes! Here are some photos for all to enjoy!

The Young, the Stressed, and the Restless!
So this past week we very busy with work and with preparations of Damon and Tara's wedding reception! It was fun, yet quite stressful. I was in charge of decor of tables, walls and favors. I thought it was very FUN!! Brad and I made 200 cocoa favors, but it could not have been completed without Nick and Sarah (thank you ladies sooooo much)!!! They were cute little bags of cocoa, topped with mallows and cocconut, per the bride's request. I was so happy to see how they turned out and that they loved them all. The reception was beautiful and quite romantic amongst all the stress. Here are a few pics of those who can handle it all....
Thanks so much to all that help!!! Love you all!

Sizzling in the South!!!
This last weekend was filled with calming relaxation, which is not too typical if you throw all of Sharee's family into one spot...after all, there is like 100 of them! But, Damon, one of Sharee's younger brothers got married to such an adorable girl named Tara in Texas! We had the best hospitality...truly a taste of Southern food, friends, and fun!
Because it was in Texas, only Sharee's immediate siblings flew down, it was the first and only time all of their family has slept in one roof! They spent night after night staying up until the wee hours in the morning laughing and talking. It was great to see Sharee and everyone in her family mingle without so many distractions...aka 40 grandkids! Brad was the only spouse who went, but he was never an outsider. He enjoyed shuffle board, 4-wheeling, and being the entertainer as the designating videographer. The commentary is hillarious and the interviews are entaining and uncomfortable. If anyone knows Brad...they will know he can get any info out of anyone! He is a conversational wizard!!
Everyone but Brad and Sharee left on Sunday. We got to stay and enjoy the sunny weather, shopping, and food! We spent 1 day shopping at the San Marcos outlets. It is the ranked as the 3rd best shopping in the WORLD! Imagine miles and miles of stores, in every brand, at low prices. It was so much fun chasing around Sharee and helping her pick out or try on clothes.
The next day we spent seeing sights such as the Alamo, the Riverwalk, some missions, and elaborate southern homes. We also got to go to a Wakeboard park called the Texas Ski Ranch. It is wakeboarding while being pulled by a cable system around in circles and you can jump on and off ramps, kickers, a-frames, etc. It was AWESOME!
We wish we could show you pictures of all these adventures...but our camera got stolen =(! I hope you all have had a great week! ....Thanks so much to our family, it was so much fun! We love you!!!

Happy Halloween!!!
The 4th Annual Moss' Halloween Bash was another success! The night started out with guests trickling in! We had.....
Minne Mouse aka Dave Crump (He won the Scarriest!!!)
The Burley Mountain Man..
The Swine Flu Duo!!! (They won most Original!)
The Roller Derbie Combo...
The Hospital Hoodlems..(a nun, the travelocity knom, sponge bob, 70-disco Dottie, Richard Simons, and a pin-up pilot..she won the sexiest!!!)Minne Mouse aka Dave Crump (He won the Scarriest!!!)
The Burley Mountain Man..
The Swine Flu Duo!!! (They won most Original!)
The Roller Derbie Combo...
The Rockin Muppets!
And...OCTO-MOM!!!
We had goodies with chocolate, carmel, chips, salsa, punch all with a bloody twist to make stomachs turn. After mingling...a sudden mysterious murder occurred! Someone had killed Sharee! We then handed out envelopes with each guests name on them to describe the murder, the suspects, possible motives, and weapons. The guests then needed to mingle to find the out-right culprit! There was a knife, golf-club, or poison as the possible weapons, and embolished motives ranging from jealous, dislike, or adultery. Ultimately...it came down to Nick Nickish aka 70s Disco Dottie who was the murderer! It was because she was a jealous mom, who child loves Sharee best and so she decided to poison her drink at the welcoming toast! She played a great improptu character and we hope all had fun!!! We missed those who couldn't make it this year! Please be sure to put it on the calender the next year...the 5th year should be FANTASTIC!

Parlez Vous Francais?
We just got back from Quebec! Brad was going to the Adventure Travel World Summit for his job but I got to hang our for the first 4 days. We went on a canyoning and rappelling tour. Neither of us had done "canyoning" or rappelling for that matter. Canyoning is where rappel down waterfalls! It was pretty sweet!
We got there the first day and the guides gave us about a 5 minute lesson and before you knew it we were rappelling down 50 ft waterfalls. The water was cold but you work so hard that you barely notice. After canyoning for a couple of hours we dried off and then went to a little French restaurant and ate fantastic food! After lunch we went on a zip line tour across a deep canyon. The guide (Renee) then took us to a cute old bed and breakfast in the country in this little village where we ate dinner and stayed the night.
The next morning we had breakfast and then went off for more canyoning early in the morning. This day was super cold in the canyon because there was no sunlight...but we still had tons of fun! After drying off and warming up we headed off to our next journey to a place called Palisades in Charlevoix, Quebec. It's the tallest "Via Ferrata" (literally "iron way") in North America. It's a rock face that is over 3,000 feet tall that you scale while being strapped in the whole way. (For the Spokanites...imagine Minni-Ha-Ha Park times 300!) This climb would come later however because daylight was nearly gone. We did practice for a couple of hours on some smaller rock faces before the day was over. We went to bed excited for the next day's challenge!
So in the morning we headed out! We dressed for the cold but did not realize that we would be shedding clothes the rest of the day! It was tons of work but so much fun. Looking down and out to the country was absolutley amazing. At the top there is a wired bridge 3000 feet in the air that you cross while being strapped into a metal wire. Super scary! Then you strap in and repell down a 200 foot drop! After hiking back down they reward you with a long zip line over a lake. We then quickly ate lunch, went to a whale museum (which we could have done without) and then went to a "Sugar Shack Party" that Quebec threw for the group.
What's a "Sugar Shack Party"?....well, imagine beef, potatoes, macaroni salad...you know, all the helpings of an American meal...but WAIT...now pure maple syrup on ALL OF IT! That's right...smother the entire meal, including your drinks, in maple syrup. It was NOT good! But they did treat us to some traditional Quebec tap dancers who were very fun. That evening we went to where Brad was going to be staying for the next week at a Castle called Manior Rechilieu. It was beautiful! Brad would stay their for work for the next week...and finally came home last night but has the flu :( We'll be sure to post pictures of the trip soon!

THE Cookie Recipe
So we have received a TON of responses for the recipe...who would have known we have so many "sweet-tooth followers".
After seeing a variety of what people "claimed" were the best...we baked a bunch of them and took it to the test at a family party. In the end, this recipe was the overwhelming favorite BUT we added a few secret things to TAKE IT OVER THE TOP!!
THE chocolate chip cookie!!
Brad and Chewie Moss
1/3 c butter
1/3 c butter-flavored Crisco
1/2 c brown sugar
1/2 c sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
Mix above ingredients until creamy
1 1/2 c flour
1/4 c quick oats
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
Mix these together separately and slowly add to "wet" ingredients.
Fold in handfuls (depending on your chip desire) of Jumbo MILK chocolate chips. (find them at your local Winco)
Bake for 8-10 min at 375. Until cookies are just turning golden brown. (if you wait until they are noticeably golden brown you went too far!) Use stone cookware...period!
Makes 2 dozen cookies!
Tell me how you like them! Love you guys!

A Surprise in the Shed!
So every year we have a bit of a bee problem in our shed. This year there was a small hornets nest we noticed in the back corner. We kind of, better yet "Brad" kind of ignored it. Bad idea! Check this thing out!
Luckily it was cold and there were no more bees....but this is just a warning for all those guys out there who procrastinate "around the house projects"...take care of them or you might get stung! :)
Other than that we were able to winterize everything around the house, sprinklers are blown out, hoses are put away, and patio furniture (that we never used) is put away. Fall/Halloween decorations are out and we are getting ready for our 4th annual Halloween Bash!

Memaw & Aunt Robin & Best Chocolate Cookies Ever!
So Brad's step-dad, Dan, had his 50th birthday a couple of weeks back and his Memaw and Aunt Robin came in from St. Louis. We had a lot of fun catching up and enjoying their company. Aunt Robin was only here for a couple of days but Memaw got to take part in the "finding the best chocolate chip cookie recipe"!
We had three recipes that people claimed to be the best. We cooked them all and one was victorious! Let me know if you want the recipe and I can post it!Sunday, October 4, 2009
A Few Days as a Bachlorette! (i dont think i spelled that right?)
So every year Brad and his buddies participate in golf tournaments throughout the year and one happens to fall on the 1st weekend of October, called appropriately Mr. October. It is apparently a tournament that enlists such pride and dignity to the winner who will win this title of Mr. October. It is the last tournament of the season when the boys go and face each other as opponents but the worst enemy to face is the gruesome wind, rain, and freezing conditions. They must be crazy because I was cold in my cozy house snuggling up in a blanket in front of the TV.
Luckily, I didn't have to face the bachlorette life alone. Noelle and Brynnley came over and we watched chick flicks and did the girl talk since she also has a crazy husband who wants to participate in this insanity.
Work was my next companion to keep me company. I worked this weekend and we were insanely busy. I am simply recovering from last night when we saw almost 100 patients in one day! Most of you may not think that is a lot but our average is about 1/2 that so you could imagine the chaos. I believe at one point there was 25 kids in the waiting room...waiting to be seen by myself and the other physician. It was a daunting task but we tried to keep our spirits up and kept cycling the kids through. I didn't see many thrilling cases...a lot of influenza, lacerations, and football injuries. So, a word to the wise....Wash your hands, wear your helmets, and watch out for sharp objects! =)

It's backroll time!
So with the wakeboard season coming to a close....I don't know if it is the cold water, but we seem to be getting a bit more crazy (or stupid) with the tricks we are attempting.
Gabe, Heather, Campbell and Sawyer came out on the boat with Adam, Noelle, Brynnley and us and although it was windy...it didn't stop us to continue our craziness! These photos might not seem too crazy to some of you "pros" out there but we started wakeboarding last summer :)
Sharee attempting her first back roll! Oops...her board is going one way but her head is looking the opposite! :) Wish we had a pic of the landing!
Brad's was a little better but still landed on his head!
Brynn is worried about Brad :(
Sharee doing a sweet wake to wake board grab though!

We hope to have a couple more times out on the lake before the season is over...but the cold is coming quickly! Full wet-suits to come......I think we are addicted. We love you Adam and Noelle for putting up with us...you are the best and we are so grateful for you.
Birthday Lunch!!!
So....every sister's birthday we "chicas" try to get together to have a birthday lunch for each of our sisters. This week it was Heidi's! She was turning a hot 29!!! =) Which I am not sure how it is possible with EIGHT adorable kids! She is looking great.
So we had a very yummy lunch at mom's of chicken salad with all the toppings. Got to chat about nothing and everything. Reminisced on the wonderful dating games and then talked about how grateful we are for each of our adorable husbands. Then on to rhubarb pie with vanilla ice cream for dessert! (per request of the birthday girl) We missed all those who couldn't make it...(Sheryl, Mim, Heather D, Sarah)

We Love Jeanine!
So we know that 6th season of So You Think You Can Dance is starting already but it just reminds us how awesome Jeanine was! (If you want to play these...push pause on our music play list first so you can hear the dance music)
And our favorite dance of the year, portraying a drug addict (the girl) and the drug (the guy). She just can't shake the habit in the end...
This one was pretty good too though :)

Catching up!
Wow! What a summer!! We can't believe it is coming to an end. Let's re-cap some things for everyone :)
April- Sharee passed her Family Nurse Practitioner Boards and is "official". Signed a contract with Sacred Heart in the Peds Emergency Department. Works about 10-12 days a month and loves it!
April- The American Banditos could not defend their President's Cup Championship. The "Old Men" brought in some ringers and it came down to just a few points. We'll get 'em next year boys!
May- Keri Adams (our favorite person south of the Columbia River) got married and is now Mrs. Matt McGee. Her wedding in San Diego was fantastic and we were so happy to be a part of it. We love you Keri!
May- Brynnley (Adam and Noelle's daughter and the "love of Brad's life") turned 1! She is walking, talking and blowing kisses...and Uncle Brad and Aunt Chewie spoil her rotten!
May- Wakeboarding starts early this year. Adam and Noelle bought a sweet new boat and wakeboarding has officially taken over golf...although we are MUCH better at golf.
June- Let's face it...June is just a "countdown month" for Hoopfest. Jacob's team played awesome in 6ft & under Elite! Bob's team made it to the championship game of their hoop in the Open (toughest division). They killed two past champions, Team Atlanta and Team Numerica. Kyle's team (2007 Champs) too made it to their hoop championship in the Open. Adam's team however...they were out on Saturday. :(
July- Spent the 4th of July at the Cabin on Hayden Lake. Fireworks were amazing and Gabe's family (Heather, Sharee's sisters Husband) all got up on the wakeboard...even Gabe! It was sweet.
July- We went on a 5 day Whitewater Rafting Vacation through Hell's Canyon on the Snake River with ROW Adventures. One of the coolest vacations we have ever been on. You raft and kayak all day, stop at historical sites, pictograph's, old cabins and mines, you go on hikes, jump off cliffs...they food was too good:) They set your camp up for you and cater to your every need. There is really no good way to explain it. Again, the food was amazing, the guides were inexplicable and the new friends we met from all over the country really made the trip what it was.
July- Sharee is officially jumping wake to wake. :)
August- Happy birthday to Sharee! Normally Brad plans something cool and this year was no exception but Sharee's brother (Damon) came into town and we had to cancel everything (don't worry, we will do it next year) because we had not seen him for a long time. He also brought the newest member of our family...Tera! (sp?) Damon proposed at the cabin when they came up and are getting married on November 7th in San Antonio, Texas! We love Tera! She is the cutest redheaded Mexican this side of the Rio Grande. Just kidding...but seriously, Damon out-punted his coverage.
August- We took Todd (brother), Heather (sis-in-law), Gabe(bro-in-law) and Heather(sis) on the Clark Fork River for a day of Whitewater Rafting. It was super fun...cold, but fun! Everyone got soaked and the river was running really fast.
Well...that's it for now!

Bridger Scott Moss
On December 31, 2008, at 10:22 am, sweet Bridger Scott Moss came into our lives. He was 13.9 ounces (almost a pound) and 10.5 inches long. The doctor’s even said he was rather large and buff for his young age...being the ripe age of 20 weeks. He threw us a curve ball with being a boy, but most everything about him has been unpredictable!
For those who had not heard, he was diagnosed with a congenital birth defect called "Multi-Cystic Kidney Disorder"...basically that means your kidneys do not work and are full of cysts. To make the situation more difficult for him, he only developed one kidney. Most who are diagnosed with this disease have another healthy kidney. Plus, Bridger did not have a bladder either...poor guy was a bit uncomfortable. We were told that odds were he would not make it full term and the best idea for Sharee's health was to induce labor.
The delivery was sad but it went well. We are very blessed to have such a special spirit grace our presence, even if it was only for a few seconds and we look forward to playing with him again someday.
There was a burial service at at Seltice Cemetery with a luncheon for family and friends on Saturday, January 3, 2009. We wanted to thank you for all your prayers of support and love, we have felt each of them personally and they helped us gain strength and courage during this difficult time in our lives. May our Savior, Jesus Christ, bless your lives as each of you have blessed ours!
People have also been asking for photos so... here you go! He is adorable, and absolutely perfect! But we may be a bit bias =).
