Wakeboard 101

So we have made friends over the last year or so with a couple from Texas. They moved up here and we love them!! Only thing...they have made us addicted to wake boarding! Not very many people "pick up" wake boarding at 28 and 25 but we thought we'd give it a try. Truth is, we fell in love and really enjoy it. I'll have Adam and Noelle (the friends) send us some photos that we can put up. We suck, but it's tons of fun.

Mom and Dad are back from Africa. "The House" feels like home again. Heather and Gabe did a great job watching it but I'm sure everyone agrees that it never feels the same without the parents there. They had their homecoming a couple weeks back and it was awesome! They seem happy to be back and surrounded by their some 40 grand children!

Sharee is almost done with school and we are excited for that. Our 5 year anniversary is coming up September 6th! Can you believe that!?? We are starting to feel like crafty veterans. Football season is around the corner and although we love our football season, we hate to see the summer go so quickly. Hopefully we get a good September and we can enjoy the lake.

Until next time!!

Year in Review '07

These are some fun things, interesting facts that happened to Brad and Sharee’s life in 2007.

January – Sharee started her Master’s Program and is on her way to becoming a Family Nurse Practitioner…the family is really happy because she’ll be able to prescribe medicine J

February- Spent a lot of time with Mom and Dad before leaving for Nairobi, Kenya on their mission along with Tyler going to Argentina! We miss you tons!

March- Worked on getting “Abs of Steel” for Maui. Golf season started early because we had beautiful weather…this is a start of a new favorite past time for Sharee as well.

April- Took a vacation to Maui which had its ups and downs. Our Jeep got stuck in a creek which fed a 150 foot waterfall into the ocean (Brad’s fault) J We were blessed by a “semi-professional Jeeper” from Bountiful, UT who just happened to be taking a drive with his wife and saw us in deep trouble. Other than that the trip was relaxing, exciting, and well-deserved. Brad’s President’s Cup team convincingly defended their title as well.

May- We started regular cottage meetings for our church which provides a way for people to get to know each other in a casual, intimate environment in the homes of other members. It has had a lot of success in our Ward and we are blessed to be part of it. Par 5 Events was officially started and received its business license this month too!

June- Sharee went to Missouri for clinicals, she now can do stitches and set casts!! Our friends had a fantastic year at this year’s Hoopfest (the largest 3on3 Basketball Tournament in the world)…after many grueling years and our undying support they finally WON! We just want to say thank you for making us proud to Dustin, Tommy, and Baker. J Go get them again next year!

July- Sharee’s best friend in the whole world (Keri) came up for the 4th where we calmed the seas of Lake Coeur d’Alene. The fireworks were spectacular from the boat! Brad and his friends went to Yellowstone and Jackson Hole, Wyoming for what now seems to be an annual “Bachelor Weekend Trip”. His best friend Kyle finally got married to Tami (a gorgeous, amazing girl…we often wonder how he landed her). Congratulations!

August- Brad’s friend Bobby got married this month in Seattle to a little lady way out of his league! It’s amazing how Brad’s friends out punt their coverage. After the wedding, Brad surprised Sharee by waking her up early in the morning and taking her to a birthday breakfast…in San Francisco! They shopped, ate and did all of the touristy things for a few days. While in S.F., Sharee got to talk to her parents in Africa who told her to go to a certain part of the city where her Dad’s favorite kiss happened with her Mom…sure enough we were right in front of the building the kiss took place in the exact moment that she was talking to them!!

September- Sharee took Brad on an ultimate scavenger hunt for his birthday. They went to his favorite places to eat, played Frisbee at Manito and she took him to Golf Digest’s Top 10 Public Courses in the Nation called The Circling Raven in Worley, ID. It was his best birthday ever! Brad was also able to play “Gozzer Ranch” with his brother-in-law David which was a once in a lifetime opportunity. This gave him great practice for the Sterling Savings Bank Shootout in which after a field of 1,000 players were eliminated, he took 3rd place. He was not very happy, but Sharee was proud!

October- One of Brad and Sharee’s favorite months came and went quickly. She threw her annual Halloween Party where there was a haunted house entrance, dance offs, glow in the dark Jack O’Put-Putt Golf, and tasty treats! Thanks to all that came and participated.

November- Brad was interviewed by a regional magazine for, “Top Entrepreneur Under 30” mainly for the success of Par 5 Events which he gives all credit to Sharee for supporting him. Par 5 Events will be part of 40 golf tournaments in 2008 making them the second largest golf event planning company in the nation!

December- Sharee and Brad will be off to Africa for most of the month…that’s why you are getting this so early! They will stop in Amsterdam for a bit to see their friend Lance who is a Professional Basketball player in Europe, then to Kenya for most of the month and to spend Christmas with Sharee’s parents, and then finally to Paris for a week and for New Years with Damon! They will tell you how it went next year! J
